Hai Yew Heng - Tanjung Sepat

Hai Yew Heng
I've heard alot about Tanjung Sepat "mui choy" pau and last Sunday, after Bak Kut Teh lunch at Taman Berkeley, Klang, we drove to Tanjung Sepat to try the famous pau.

Hai Yew Heng is located at 405, Jalan Pasar, 42800 Tanjung Sepat, Kuala Langat, Selangor.
TEL: 603 31974144, 6012 2729009
Business Hour: 1.00pm to 6.00pm daily and public holiday from 10.00am

Pau Menu
They sells six types of Hainanese pau (1) sang yoke or fresh meat (2) mui choy or preserved vegetables (3) tau sar or mashed sweetened bean paste (4) kaya or coconut jam (5) fah sang or peanut paste (6) chai or vegetarian.

Hai Yew Heng operates 2 shops; one shop where they make the pau and the other where you can eat in with drinks and some fried snacks. This place was endorsed by Hong Kong gourmet king (the fat guy promoting food outlets) and is very popular with local tourists. When we arrived, there were a few tour buses and the place was crowded.

Hai Yew Heng logo
To ensure that you are buying the original Hai Yew Heng's pau, we were told to look out for the printed Hai Yew Heng design on the pau paper. Apparently there are many imitators since they became famous.

Fried Sancks and Toh Kuey
While waiting for our takeaway,  we ordered some fried snacks, "mui choy" and "sang yok" pau to go with coffee.

Kwo Zha B Coffee
The coffee is a must try and if you like it, you can buy the coffee beans from Kwo Zha B Coffee, which is just a few doors away.

Fried Ice Cream
At the corner of the pau outlets, you can also try "fried ice cream". Each "fried ice cream" cost RM2.50 and comes in a few flavours. I tried the durian flavour and it's yummy. Must try.

Having tasted the pau from Hai Yew Heng and Klang Food Centre, I'll go for the pau from Klang Food Centre as they offer more varieties, their pau is tastier and nearer home :)
